The physical therapists at Pro-Motion Physical Therapy offer a wide range of physical therapy services at our clinic in downtown Brighton, MI. Our mission is to provide the highest quality physical therapy in a professional, friendly, caring, and comfortable environment. We treat each patient like family, utilizing a hands-on approach and developing custom treatment plans to help each individual reach their maximum functional potential in the most efficient manner.


What We Do
We are a locally-owned outpatient physical therapy clinic focusing on orthopedic and sports therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation for women, men, and children, as well as vestibular rehabilitation. We prioritize your convenience and comfort, and accept a wide range of insurance plans.

Vincent Baylerian, PT, DPT

Background
Originally from the Detroit area, Vincent attended Miami University where he competed for four years on the varsity football team. After returning to the area and taking prerequisite courses, he was accepted into the Physical Therapy Program at Daemen College. Following graduation in 1996, Vincent began working as a staff physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. He was promoted to a management position, and eventually became a clinical director, a position he held for twelve years with two different private practices. During that time Vincent returned to Daemen College and earned his clinical doctorate. In 2010, he started Pro-Motion Physical Therapy, PLLC. Vincent has 24 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist. His main focus is in the treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. He has completed extensive course work in manual therapy, and is also trained in the treatment of vestibular/inner ear and balance disorders, as well as the use of Dry Needling. Vincent is a certified Level 2 Clinical BikeFit Pro, and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1994.

Background
Originally from the Buffalo, NY area, Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SUNY at Buffalo. She graduated from Daemen College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1996, then moved to the Detroit area and began working as a staff therapist with a local hospital system. She was soon promoted to a Senior Staff Therapist and returned to Daemen College, earning her clinical doctorate in 2004. With 24 years of experience, Susan specializes in the treatment of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction for women, men, and children, as well as musculoskeletal/orthopedic disorders. She is also certified in the treatment of Lymphedema, and has served as a clinical instructor. Susan is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health, and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1995.

Sarah Burt, DPT

Background
Originally from the Detroit area, Sarah attended the University of Michigan where she studied kinesiology with a focus in movement science. Sarah has completed undergraduate research studying ambulation and muscle activation patterns in children with spina bifida. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2008 and began working as an aide in a local hospital system. Sarah returned to the University of Michigan and received her clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2012. Her clinical experience is in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. Sarah’s interest in orthopedics comes from her love of figure skating and dancing as a child. She has also completed course work in manual therapy and pelvic floor dysfunction for women and pediatric patients. Sarah has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2016.

Background
Julie has always been interested in movement, fitness, and health. She took the opportunity to go back to school to study to be a PTA after her children finished college. Julie has over three years of clinical experience, and has worked in a skilled nursing facility, as well as Pro-Motion Physical Therapy. She has taken continuing education in Pulmonary and Cardiac care, as well as using Tai Chi in rehab. Julie enjoys most every outdoor activity, but especially hiking, jogging, and stand up paddleboarding with her husband. She also enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Bridget Podvin, PTA

Background
Bridget is a Howell High School graduate, and attended Baker College of Auburn Hills where she received her Associates for Applied Science in Physical Therapy in 2019. She discovered her interest in physical therapy while observing and assisting her sister through the physical rehabilitation process. Bridget enjoys hiking, boating, and spending time with her close friends and family.

Michelle Burda
Office Coordinator
Michelle is a Brighton High School graduate, and attended Oakland University and Eastern Michigan University studying Exercise Science/Physiology. She started with Pro-Motion in 2013 as a technician, and has been Office Coordinator since 2015. Michelle enjoys working out, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family.
